It's been a busy couple of weeks and again I am falling behind on my blogging. It feels like we have been so busy every second. But then again, all we've been doing is yard work and hanging out with our wonderful friends. But I guess that isn't such a bad life, eh? The weather has been absolutely perfect up until a few days ago. Now it's pretty chilly. But still, it's my favorite time of year, all the flowers are blooming and the days are getting longer. And I can eat strawberries AND oranges that are still in season. What could be better?!? Our last couple of weeks have consisted of playing with Bailey outside, taking walks, planting flowers, visiting with friends, holding their babies, grilling out, and some busy days at work. My good friend from Nashville, Ashley, came over for a while last week. She was in Dallas helping out her dad, so it was so good to visit with her and her parents. Ashley and her husband Matt are like our older siblings. Very fun and easy to talk to, they've always been there for me and my sisters. So it was great getting to see her for a while. Oh and last weekend I planted my garden! I'll have to post pictures of that soon.
Not much else to update on except that tomorrow I'm headed to Nashville for a long weekend. And who better to pick me up at the airport? BETH and baby PORTER! I am so excited to get to see Porter, and after counting down the days, finally it's here!!! I've been dying to see him since he was born six weeks ago. I'm going to spend every second I can holding that precious little boy. And I'm going to teach him his first word, too. Just thought I'd throw that in there.
Then we're throwing a bridal shower with my cousins for our other cousin Liz. I'm so excited to get to see so much of my family this weekend, and I always love throwing parties:) I am so looking forward to also just having a couple days with my sisters, since they're coming in to host the shower. I can't wait to see everyone! Porter, here I come!!!

Allie Time
So my little sister came to visit this past weekend. We had such a fun time and I am so glad she came all this way to spend time with her big sis. We missed Jessi, but we're planning more sister time very soon. It sucks being so far away from both of them, but it means so much to me when we do get to see each other. Allie and I had such a good time. She got in Friday night and we went to Campisi's for pizza before the Stars Game. We had fun watching the Stars win and get into a lot of fights. Then we found out that Brandon's friend Justin was playing downtown that night. So we grabbed coffee at Cafe Brazil then went to hear The Rocketboys play an acoustic set at City Tavern, which was great. Saturday we slept in and went shopping and then went to eat at The Taco Joint. It is definitely a new favorite- it's in such a shady area but it's sooooo yummy. Saturday night we went to Ft. Worth for the Rodeo. It was the perfect Texas experience for Allie, and we really had fun wearing our boots and exploring the Stockyards. Sunday we went to church and to lunch with friends. I talk about my sisters all the time, so I was excited for some of by friends to get to meet Allie. Sunday we took Bailey to the dog park and then came back to cook a big yummy mexican dinner and watch a movie. It couldn't have been a more perfect weekend. Unless Jess had been here. Here are some pictures from the weekend...

Thanks for coming to visit Allers! We miss you already.

Baby Liam
It's so fun being able to hold and love on all of our friends' babies. And the best part is that we can just hand them back to their parents and go on to our full nights' sleep. It has been really fun seeing so many of our best friends become such wonderful parents. I've been meaning to blog about this precious baby for a few weeks now. Josh and Suzie have the perfect little 2 month old boy. Liam is absolutely adorable, so sweet and cuddly. I watched him for a couple of hours on Saturday, and he was an angel. Brandon snapped a few photos while I was snuggling him. Oh I love this little guy!

House Guests
I haven't updated in a while...oops. I haven't really been taking many pictures, so it makes it hard to blog about much. But we've had a great couple of weeks. My dad came in weekend before last. He taught a class at a church in Ft. Worth, so Brandon and I got to go hear him teach part of his series on Acts. It was so good having him here, even just for a little while. I don't know what it is about having house guests, but I love it. I love cooking and playing hostess and having friends and family in my home. Especially when it's my family. We had a great weekend with Dad, mostly relaxing and eating some good food. He even helped with a little house project. I have been wanting a new Vent-a-Hood for a while now, and I finally got it! Here's a couple of pictures...
BEFORE: AFTER:

Then, Meagan came in town for a few days, so I got to see her for a little while. We cooked dinner like old times and watched the Oscars. We watched all the stars on the runway and quickly got annoyed with Anne Hathaway, the hostess this year. I could go on and on about The Kings Speech. It took home Best Actor (Colin Firth who was amazing), Best Director, Best Screenplay, and most of all, Best Picture. Such a great movie- if you haven't seen it, you need to. Colin Firth is soo talented, and not at all bad to look at either :)
This past weekend we hung out with friends and Brandon got a lot of yard work done. I did some cooking and cleaning and even some babysitting for sweet baby Liam. I'll have to post pictures of that soon...he's adorable. It was a pretty wonderful and relaxing weekend around here!
And now I'm counting down the days till my sister gets here! Allie is coming in on Friday to spend a couple of days with us. I am soooo excited to see her and for her to get to see my home and my town. I'm already planning out every second so we can have lots of fun fun fun. Hurry up and get here Allie!!!
